Principal's Message

Hello Students and Parents:

I am pleased and excited to welcome you to the 2020-2021 school year!

I wish that I could greet you in person but we will have to wait for that for the time being.

All students should have already picked up their school supplies and textbooks. If you have not yet done so, please contact our office to schedule a pick-up arrangement as soon as possible. Please keep all items in the tote bag and in a safe place so that students are ready each day to complete their assignments and interact with their teachers. All items will need to be brought to school with each student once we are able to return to our classrooms. Lost items will need to be replaced by the family.

I would like to congratulate Mrs. O’Dell, Mrs. Palfrey, Mrs. Jones, and Mrs. Stokes on their retirements. They have contributed so much to the academic progress and school spirit of our Cloverly students for many years and the entire school community thanks them whole heartedly.

Please assist me in extending a warm welcome to four new Cloverly teachers: Ms. Noelle Maryne (4th Grade), Mr. Rich Slaymaker (4th Grade), Ms. Celia Amaya (5th Grade), and Ms. Morgan Garcia (5th Grade). I am certain that they will be positive additions to our fantastic staff.

Cloverly is an outstanding school that is recognized as a California Distinguished School, identified as a STEM Honor Roll School for our outstanding student achievement in Mathematics and Science, and placed on the Honor Roll from the California Business for Education Excellence Association. I applaud the entire school community: students, parents, and staff for their continued efforts and contributions in making Cloverly a wonderful place for student growth and achievement.

It is a pleasure to serve as your principal and I invite you to be active participants in our school and in your child’s education. I look forward to a year of collaboration so that we may all strive towards improving the academic progress and social emotional well-being of all students. I am certain that working together this school year will prove to be the most successful yet. Even though we are beginning the school year online, please do not hesitate in reaching out to us if we can be of service and support.

Please continue to view your emails, our Cloverly website, and the TCUSD website for updates on distance learning and the future re-opening of our schools. All Cloverly families should be receiving weekly ParentSquare phone calls, text messages, and emails from me. The contact information that we are using is the information that you provided when you registered your student online through the Parent Portal. Please contact our office if you are not receiving these communications.
